This section is a theoretical introduction, covering the role of digital technology in contemporary architecture, the development and application of CAD/CAM technology, and the working principles and application scenarios of oscillating knives and CNC technology. It explores how these technologies transform the architectural design process, including using CAD software from design to realization, setting up, and operating oscillating knives and CNC machines. Participants will design and create small structural models in groups, applying oscillating knife and CNC technology in model making. Additionally, specific cases will be analyzed to show the application of these technologies in actual architectural design, discussing current challenges and future trends, encouraging innovative thinking and exploring new design methods, and conducting group discussions on how to integrate these technologies into their own work.
